The Quilt My Daughter Designed! A Finish!

Warning picture heavy!

When my daughter was pregnant with her third child just like the other two she did not know the sex.  So when little man was born we started to talk about his quilt.
These are the fabrics she choose....

She asked for whales in the whale fabric....

and navy gingham on the back.

Here is his quilt!

AND,  in his room...

She found these adorable pictures for the room on Etsy.
The middle one is the song she sings to her children.
You are my Sunshine.

"Hey Mom, Daddy and I heard you in my room.
What'ca doing?"

I love working with my daughter!
She has a keen eye for color and style!

Have a wonderful weekend.
I hope you do something you love.
I am going to work on more little letters!

  12. Hi, Jane. A couple of times lately, I've commented on a blog and it never shows up - bummer. Yesterday it happened on your blog; you had 3 comments and mine would have made 4 but it's somewhere out there in la-la land!! :)
Here's approimately what I said. Cute!! ...sweetie and the quilt! Love the colors and the whale is adorable. I noticed the frame in the picture above sweetie's crib - the one with "You Are My Sunshine" words on it. I have a special place in my heart for that song. I've been told that as a toddler (1945) I would arrange everyone around the edges of the room and then dance to that song out in the middle of the room!! I've always sung that song to my grandbabies, too. I love that the words are framed - such a neat idea.
