Stamp It Blog Hop- My Day

YES! Another fun blog hop!
Thanks to Madame Samm for such creative ideas. Thank you to Thearica from Pigtales and Quilts for being our cheerleader for this hop!

I am not sure I did this hop justice. I knew right away what I wanted my stamp to look like, but it represents the USA and not my state. I also knew I wanted to embroider the stamp. My favorite Holiday is by far The 4th of July so my stamp pays homage to the 4th.
Once again Maggie and I set out to our favorite photo shoot site, but look, this poor little stamp next to the stone lighthouse replica! She is so tiny!

Here she is up close.

I did stitch the date July 4 1776 but I have no idea if the stamp actually did cost 4 cents!  Yikes, I should have done some research.
Nevertheless, I had a wonderful time making this stamp.

Thank you for your visit and here is the rest of the schedule for today and the next two days.

Good-By Reader, Hello Feedly!

Well it really is happening!
Good-By Dear Reader, I thought I would be lost without you
BUT
enter Feedly!

For the last few weeks I have used
Google Reader
Bloglovin
and Feedly.

Why do I like Feedly?
I can choose settings, such as read the whole article...
read a snippet.

I can choose my font color for unread (hot pink)
read black.

I can add blogs just like in the reader.

I LOVE the app. on my i-pad.

As you can tell I really to not have super sound reasons, I just plain like it best!

I did claim (not sure what that means) my blog for bloglovin. I have the button posted in case that is the reader you will be using.

I have a feeling I will be missing a few of you and it will take a few weeks to get into the swing of things, but they say change is good!

Speaking of change my husband and I changed how many years we were married yesterday! It is now 36.  Wow, time go so fast, remember to stop and smell the flowers.

Tammy Bag, My Turn

Oh my goodness, this is such a fun hop!  I love seeing the bags and what you have in your's!  Thank you to Madame Samm for this fun hop, thanks to our sponsors, thanks to the players and thanks to everyone who cheers and visits.
This is who I get to share my day with...

Another Photo Shoot!

Maggie and I went on another photo shoot!
All the pictures you will see today were taken by my 17 year old daughter.

We were first greeted by these two....
They did not move the whole time Maggie and I were jumping from rock to rock. They are very use to people.

And now without further ado,

My Tammy

she started like this

and now she is this!

I cannot believe how much you can put in this bag!  There is even room for my M&M Minis!!!

What a great project bag!  This will be wonderful when I travel, anywhere!
Thank you Madame Samm for such a great project!

Have fun hopping, I know I will!

Oh For The Love of Hand Embrodery

I told you that I would get back to you with the details of
For the Love of Hand Embroidery

This is what I am doing, well me and 22 others.
Every Monday starting in August and running through December one lady will show a project she made using embroidery.

What we are trying to do is to show, remind, inspire others with embroidery.
This is for fun. For nothing else but pure clean fun!
And maybe make some new stitchers out of others.
See you in August with our first project.

A Finish!!

MY FINISH
from the start to the end.
This quilt was all done by hand from the piecing to the quilting. Oh wait that is not true I did attach the binding by machine but I also hand stitched in place.
Pretend you are a teenager and this is a VINE....(Vine is the best way to see and share life in motion. Create short, beautiful, looping videos in a simple and fun way for your friends and family to see.)

Two Fun Events!

I do not know about you but for me, in the summer, the last thing I want to work on is a large quilt on my lap! AC or not!! I love to have hand projects that I can work on whether I am at home or watching softball, or just sitting on the deck.
So when I saw
were having a Season By Hand Summer.

I just knew I wanted to sponsor .
I was also invited to post! Wait until you see the line up they have in store for you this summer!! (click here to see sponsors and details)
I am humbled to be with these woman.

This event starts today and runs through the end of July with a linky party for YOU to showcase what you have done by hand and maybe even win a prize.

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday one of these amazing woman will post on Clover and Violet's Blog about a hand worked project, share a tutorial, and or shower us with inspiration.

This is my donation to this fun event.

So head over to their blog and let the fun begin!
