My Turn!!

EDIT
THE WINNER IS
#68 EVELYN
An email is on the way.
Congratulations!!!

Yes, it is now my turn to talk about the
Beam N Read Hands Free Light

Thank you to Kelly for allowing me to be part of this Blog Hop, and thank you to Bob, for sending me this amazing light for my personal enjoyment.Wow, I love this light! I suffer from macular degeneration and as you might know, that means we need a lot of light to help us in our daily routine.

It has 6 LED lights, two filters, a magnifying lens and a strap for your neck that is adjustable so it can be set to your desired distance. It does not put forth any heat, unlike other lights that can make it too warm to work. Which is wonderful in the warmer weather.

As I am tying this post I have my light on to illuminate the keyboard.
(No flash used)

I also love to use it when I am doing hand work, whether it is quilting, sewing,
knitting or any other type of craft.

Travel, perfect to use in the car, plane and wonderful for hotel rooms that are frequently low on lighting.

Do you have a kindle? I do and the only part that I do not care for on my kindle is that it does not have a back light. Problem solved and your loved one will not complain and say “Go to bed and turn off the light!”

Another use, a flashlight!! Last week we had a terrible thunderstorm. As I ran into the basement I thought, candles? no, where is that flashlight?, no, I grabbed my Beam N Read and yes, the electricity went out and this baby lit up the whole room. (No flash used)

What a wonderful way to check on your sleeping children without disturbing their slumber.
This is one “tool” you will be delighted to own. It will surly light up your life!
So, thank you again to Bob from Beam N Read for being so generous and to Kelly for hosting this Blog Hop.
Here is your chance to win one of your very own.
Or if you just cannot wait, you can purchase yours here.

To enter the giveaway.

1. Must be a follower of my blog.. Let me know how this will light your way.
2. Must be a follower of IHAN.
That’s it!!
Good luck, winner from my blog will be announced July 1st.
Winner will be responsible for shipping costs.
I hope you have a bright day!

  34. Great review of this light. I wondered while following the tour how much of a room it would light up and you answered that. About two weeks ago we had a horrible storm roll through here and our power went out before the storm. We had no power for almost three hours that night and it was really scary to be in total darkness other than the one candle I did find in our house during the worst part of the storm which included three tornadoes spotted nearby. I would have loved to have this light at that point in time. I also have some vision problems that are starting to show up and in a few areas of my sewing room the ceiling light casts a shadow making it hard to see as I'm trying to sew. This would be excellent for me to use. Thank you so much.

I am now a follower of both your blog and IHAN.

  35. Oh, how fun - another great blog to follow! Kelly sent me here, and as usual, she's spot on & knew what I'd love! This dandy little gadget will surely come in handy for those late nights when Driver is sleeping & I can't. Usually, I get up & sew, but he's been fussing about the machines being too loud, so maybe now, I can use this & just read without disturbing the peace. Or his sleep. Thank you all for such a cool giveaway!!

Blogger hates me, so please send email to kcallander989(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks!!

  36. I think this light would help alot when I am doing embroidery work. I'm always trying to move my floor lamp around to get the best light. Plus, I just bought a Kindle and I like to read at night so it would help then too.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have been a follower of IHAN for awhile now, and now I'm one of your followers too!

Your tip about using the light if the power goes out is great! We're about to start having our monsoon storms and having light that doesn't heat up the house if the power goes off is always an issue. So in addition to not having the heat when I'm doing hand work, while still having great light, I've now got another reason for wanting one! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I definitely need one of these, my work has been suffering lately with my blurry world, lol. I like how it is portable and easy to use without setting up lamps.

I am a follower of both blogs.

  44. Oh My, Jane, I did not know you suffered from macular degeneration!!?? MY mother suffered (and I do mean suffered) with MD. I fear getting MD so much!! I hope the Dr.'s have stopped the progression for now!! How do they treat you?? I wondered if any new treatments had arrived on the scene since 2003 when my mother passed away.
The Beam n Read would be SOOO nice to have in dealing with my poor close up vision!! Diabetes and menopause have done theri number on my eyesight. If I don't win, I WILL be buying one! I'm coming back tomorrow to purchase some thread!! Got my payal issue somewhat figured out. It seems as though someone from "China" has hacked into my account. No money taken but it sure has caused me some grief.
    Blessings

  73. Follower of all, I would love to have this light for hand applique while the hubs is watching tv. There's just not enough light so I leave him alone and in true 'men' fashion, he whines ("you're always in the studio, you never spend any time with me") Problem solved! Thanks for the chance.

  74. I need that. Really great idea. Since my detached retina years ago I see light differently. This would work great.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I am a follower of you and Kelly. As well as the myriad ways I would use it for craft work, sewing and patchwork, I would use it outside at night. We do not have street lighting where I live, and it would help stop me falling into ditches!! Bliss - no more wet feet!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'm a follower of your blog. What a wonderful light! It sure would come in right now. I'm sewing the binding on a string quilt and am constantly changing position and distance to see properly. The best glasses in the world don't help if you don't have the right light.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'm a follower of you both :) I'd use this light on camping trips while relaxing with my Cross Stitching.I will however have to hide it, as I envision my husband snagging it to use night fishing :)
